Hiking in the Harz Mountains During the Traditional Christmas Hike
We went hiking again! As every year, the whole team got together for a day in the fresh air in the Harz Mountains for the traditional Christmas hike (which, due to the spring-like temperatures, could also have passed as an Easter walk).
Sixty-four colleagues from the company group walked 18 km uphill and downhill, chatted with each other, drank mulled wine and other delicacies, and relaxed halfway through at a cozy inn in Todtenrode with a hearty lunch. Thus fortified, we then tackled the remaining kilometers, undeterred by the onset of darkness.
A big thank you to the company, which has been organizing this day for years and enables all employees to participate!
Festive Atmosphere at Festung Mark
Our annual review would not be complete without the Christmas party. Together with our friends from UCC Magdeburg, we met this year at the beautifully decorated Festung Mark. As every year, there was a colorful potluck buffet that left nothing to be desired in terms of culinary delights: from international specialties to traditional classics, there was something for every taste.
After the meal, it was time for some sport: four teams gave their all in a thrilling curling competition. In the end, the “Schneeflöckchen” team prevailed and won glory and honor. We ended the evening in a relaxed atmosphere with pleasant conversations, atmospheric Christmas music, and a hot drink or two.
With these wonderful moments together, we said goodbye and headed into our well-deserved Christmas break, full of anticipation for the coming year and the experiences we will share together.
